Megan Peele is a Rosewood High School Graduate and is currently attending James Sprint Community College for nursing  She has been dancing since the age of 3 and recently graduated from LDW three years ago.  Megan assist with our Tot and Beginner level classes. We are so happy to have her with us this year!

Katie is originally from Nashville, NC where began her dancing career with Dance Arts of Rocky Mount at the age of 5.  During high school Katie moved to Winston Salem, NC where she trained under Wanda Plemmons at Academy of Dance Arts and has continued dancing through college. She is currently a senior Dance Education major at East Carolina University. Prior to coming to college she taught at her local studio, and was a member of her high school dance team.  On her dance team she competed and co-choreographed at Universal Dance Association's National Competition at Walt Disney World where her team placed 18th in the nation. Katie also was invited to be an intern with her high school’s dance program teaching the intermediate level students as a senior in high school. During her time at ECU she has trained under many professionals such as David Ingram, Teal Darkenwald, John Dixon, Danielle Sheather, Dirk Lumbard, Galina Panova and many others. She is starting an internship this year at Northside High School in Pinetown, NC through ECU’s dance program. After the completion of her internship she will graduate with a BFA in Dance with a concentration in Education. Katie is so excited to join the LDW team and work with the students to achieve new goals.

Ashlyn is currently a Senior at LDW and on the LDW Company team. She has been dancing since age 2 and has found her love of it throughout the years. She is a versatile dancer and an assistant in our level one and level 2 acrobatics classes, as well as teaching level one and two ballet and jazz. Ashlyn has recently become a member of the Om Grown Still Growing Professional Dance Company out of Raleigh!


Larissa Harris

     Larissa Harris is the Owner and Artistic Director of Limited Dance Works.  Larissa has been taking dance since the age of 3.  She is a graduate of East Carolina University, with a BFA in Dance Performance with a concentration in jazz and choreography.  She was a member of the ECU Tap Ensemble and ECU Jazz Ensemble.  While at ECU, Larissa trained under Tommi Galaska, Galina Panova , Patti Weeks, John Dixon, and Teal Darkenwald.  Larissa has also trained with many professional dancers such as Jennifer Archibald, David Dorfman, Doug Varone, Mark Heim and Joe Joe "Grooves" Smith. She was an Assistant Dance Instructor for 4 years, before deciding to pursue a degree in dance. Larissa was Miss Kinston-Lenoir County in 2009 and participated in the Miss North Carolina Scholarship pageant that June where she received a Non-Finalist Talent Award.  Larissa taught in a private studio for two years after graduating from ECU, in which time she received three Choreography Awards at Carolina Dance Masters.  She was also awarded all three choreography awards given at Dance Troupe, Inc. Nationals Competition 2013, including the Ray Hollingsworth Memorial Choreography of Excellence Award. Larissa has been the opening number choreographer for Dancing With The Stars of Wayne County, as well as choreographing other dance pieces in the show.  Larissa has was also the choreographer for StageStruck Children’s Summer Theatre in 2011 and 2012. She is currently a regional  and national judge for multiple dance competitions and a certified Zumba instructor. You can find some of Larissa's former students and assistant teachers on ECU and Campbell Dance Team. Larissa recently choreographed for a jazz routine for ECU Dance Teams National, where they placed 8th in the nation! Larissa's most recent accomplishment is now being an NFL Cheerleader!
